Collages. Beyond Fiction workshop.

Starting off cutting up pages from magazines, we were asked to produce 3 pieces of work, one hand drawn, one pieced together from magazine cutouts, and the other a combination of the two.

The combination collage. Pages taken from two National Geographic magazines, and a copy of Metal Hammer magazine.

I figured that the images I had chosen could be used as a campaign poster of sorts for this particular one.

Moving on to a less controversial topic of travel. This time I didn’t use any cutouts, and wanted to try a movement orientated approach.

With this one I investigated depth, and physically drawing the sight of the viewer into the picture. The colours were plain and simple, but I want to try and break away from that sort of palette. Maybe try something new with my Inks?

A personal piece spawned from this depth-finding in the work. One of them messing about with skylines and lightplay, the other came from the Ocean. (see next posts)
